A sublimation printer works in a unique way. It uses the chemical process of sublimation, in which a substance goes directly from solid to gaseous, with no liquid phase. When printing materials, we use sublimation to "bake" the print into the surface of the material, so to speak. This is done with heat-sensitive ink that mixes with the specially coated material surface. The result? Vivid, scratch- and wax-resistant full-color prints.

In many ways, sublimation is simpler than using a cutter. Instead of cutting each color separately, we pirnte everything directly onto the material. A sublimation printer can be used to create high-quality prints that are pulled into the coating of the product. The biggest advantage of this is that the products are wax and scratch resistant! Detailed prints with many colors are no problem for a sublimation printer. As a result, almost all items can be printed, including mugs, puzzles, key chains, clothing and other textile products.

With a sublimation printer, you can print on a variety of materials that are scratch and abrasion resistant because the ink soaks into the coating. However, the product must have a polyester coating. In our store you will find pre-treated items to get started right away! Please note that dark items are not suitable for sublimation.

Textile printing with sublimation is also possible, provided that the fabric consists of at least 65% of polyester and is light in color. Dark colored textiles require Sublimation Flex 202 and a cutter for contour cutting the print.
